Katie & Dane // Wedding in Borgo of Tragliata

“I have travelled all the Italy, but i have never tried an emotion so deep as in the Roman countryside:everything is quiet, great, of austere beauty” (F.Gregoriovus)

A few kilometers from Rome rises a suggestive village whose historical origins derive from the Etruscan era, which still remain intact blocks of the walls and lofts funnel.

We are talking about the Borgo of Tragliata where we had the honor and the pleasure of filming a beautiful wedding, that of Katie and Dane.

He Indian, her Scottish, on April 29, 2019 they pronounced their yes in front of parents and friends.

Bride and groom celebrated their love through the Hindu ceremony, the mandate was set up in the beautiful lawn of the village, a colorful gazebo decorated with flowers, where the sacred fire was lite.

The bride and groom offered yogurt, coconut and flower garlands were exchanged. The main and central part of the ritual was when the spouses completed seven steps together around the sacred fire and recited invocations and promises for their future married life.

At the end of this ritual, the spouses were officially declared husband and wife.

After the ceremony we had the opportunity to do some shooting with the bride and groom discovering beautiful views that the Borgo of Tragliata offers, also taking advantage of the beautiful light.

Later, with the setting of the sun, the aperitif took off immediately followed by a delicious dinner at the end of which the band requested by the couple started dancing and toasts until late at night.

What can we say..it was a pleasure and a privilege to savor the Indian culture with its colors and rituals so different from the western ones but so fascinating.
